Weirdest Friday night ever...

I just noticed I'm having a rather weird Friday night. Here's a list of all the weird things I normally wouldn't do even if I would receive a PSVita or a Nintendo 3DS:
1) haven't procrastinated on drawing something. I actually drew my SAI picture exactly after I finished listening to yet another awesome song on Idobi. Just as planned! (A lame Death Note reference. Please excuse me, I'm tired.)
2) cleaned my room a little. (Granted, it was just so I could have a chuckle at my mom's reaction to me actually cleaning some of my room, but hey, that counts!)
3) listened to something besides Rise Against while drawing. I listened to Breaking Benjamin, to be precise.
4) watched an anime adaptation of a certain otome game. Explanation: a visual novel mainly intended for girls. I, extremely accurately, call them girl games. They typically don't get localized where I live at, though. Since I'm trying to be a tomboy I claim to be, naturally, watching the anime based off them is something I don't allow myself under any circumstances. So much for that rule. (If you wish to know which one I ended up watching, let's just say it involves a school for idols and a heroine named Haruka in the anime.)
5) Ended up not actually switching to the J-Pop station when the EJC show was on. While I'm writing this, they're playing a recording of a rather... bizarre 911 call. Oh, and one of the hosts of the show, Jason, is MIA during this show. That's too bad...
6) didn't really play against other players in Arel Wars 2 too much.
7) ate some dried mangoes. And thought they were tasty. Still surprised over that. I guess I was really hungry!

For now, I believe that's all the crazy stuff I did tonight.

We've got the SAI!

No, that post title does not mean we got a computer virus or anything like that. It was supposed to be a sort of a reference to a song "We've Got the Beat." (Dunno who first performed it. Sorry.) Either way, didn't I promise to do a colored redo of the sketch I posted earlier? Well, I kept that promise! Only I redid it on our computer! Using the copy of SAI I got last weekend! And wow, this thing sure is hard to use! But whatever. Since I want to post on dA after my 13th birthday, (July 24th, 2013) I might as well use the most commonly used on dA program. Plus, one of my idols, Capukat, uses this program. (I want to be as amazing as she is!) Either way, if you're a user of SAI, could you please give me some advice if you can? Thanks!

Advice and constructive criticism are appreciated! Just be nice! Otherwise, I'll ignore it!

I'm coming up with characters again! Meet Fran!

This is one of the characters I came up with while bored in class. Her name is Fran, or as her best friend calls her, Frannie. (He'll be introduced later.) She's a friendly, (seemingly) cheerful girl. She mostly lives at home due to an inherently bad immune system and is homeschooled. Despite that, she is friends with most of the neighbors her age thanks to her parents. She often helps her friends with homework and chats with them during lunch. She's for the most part content with her life, but sometimes she can't help but feel like she's a burden to others. Due to that, she started selling her artwork and doing comissions over the Net and giving half  the received money to her parents and half to the charity. Her father is a founder and CEO of a large software company so they're quite rich, in truth. Thanks to that money, they can afford to keep a large library with books for the whole family. Frannie has the largest amount of books there since she likes to read in her spare time. She also plays videogames with her friends and parents.

Whew, I think that's it. I might do a colored redo of this.

I'm back!

It seems I won't be grounded this weekend, so I'll be back to posting!

Please read! You can try to help someone!

Hey, did you know there's a 10-year-old girl named Sarah Murnaghan out there, fighting a deadly lung disease called cystic fibrosis? She needs a lung transplant, but she has a slimmer chance of getting it than a say, 12-year-old. She's on top of children's list, but since children's lungs are in short supply and she only has access to them, well... To put it bluntly, the poor girl has less than 5 weeks to live, when this was written.

"So what the heck does it have to with me," you'll probably ask. Well, my dear reader, you can help! After all, there're ways to help besides a lung donation for her. You can spread the word! Post about her on your social media page and tell your real-life and online friends to do the same! Also, feel free to find other ways to help and tell everyone you know about the way you found! (Tell me about it too, so that I'll see what I can do!)

Please consider it, okay? Sarah, I'm rooting for you! Get better, you hear? Thanks!
Not gonna sign this post since this isn't about me.

Grounded... No posting this weekend.

I got in trouble for a bad quiz grade, so I'm grounded for the weekend. No iPad or computer=no posting. So that's why I'm posting this from my useless phone.

Why am I listening to a J-Pop station?

Idobi has some program on and I don't like it, so I decided to try some other stations. And before long, I stumbled upon an anime music station. Anybody know exactly what Touhou is, by the way? It's a series of videogames, so why does it have a net radio station? But, whatever. If you like anime like I do, and also like good anime music, I recommend AnimeNfo to you! I already found 1 new favorite J-Pop artist for myself, Chata! Her voice is really pretty and I'm going to listen to more of her music tomorrow!

Good night! (It's 21:38 while I'm writing this!)

Can you guess that quote?

"It's a pinch!"
Alright, so this is a catchphrase of...??????
Want a hint? What show did I mention in my previous post's PS? This is the catchphrase of one of the main characters of the show! You can find info online, watch the show, maybe ask your friends! Now, ready, set, go! The first person to get this right gets a request! (Bear in mind I'll only do it if you request something appropriate for kids! Anything that'll contain adult or scary themes'll not be done!)

Sketchie
Now watching...? :)

Mockingart challenge, part 2!

And that is one of my OCs, Essie! In a somewhat standard DC manga art style. Alright, so, can you guess whether I used DC or Sketchbook Xpress for this picture? Hint 1: eraser works differently in Sketchbook Xpress than DC. Do you see any traces of erasing? Hint 2: Filling works differently as well. Any visible borders? If you think you got it, feel free to comment your answer! The first person to get it right gets 1 (appropriate for kids) request!

I'm waiting to see your answers! And don't forget, you can participate using whatever drawing software you've got! The more, the merrier!
Sketchie
PS: Now, I'll be off to watch Star Driver!

I finished Amnesia!

Yay, I finished Amnesia! But wow, that was a great test of patience. It took me more than 3 months (including breaks and putting it off) to finish all 12 episodes. You are probably thinking "WTF?!" right now, am I correct? We're talking anime based off an otome game here, (a game intended for girls. The best analogy I can think of to describe it is a videogame equivalent of a shojo manga. Sorry, I can't think of anything better at the moment. Either way, mostly those focus on romance. Really, I never played one, and not planning to.) not a scary videogame! There's a reason why this is tagged "anime and manga," you know! Either way, shall I tell you about the plot of the series before I tell you why it took me so long to finish? Alright, let's see, a heroine whose name we never learn, (has to do with the fact that in the game, you were allowed to chose her name) wakes up, not remembering who she is. And that's when things start getting weird. If I recall correctly, she has to interact with people to get her memory back, otherwise, well... Throw in the heroine's deadly bad luck, (She nearly died several times) an unusual aquitance (Sorry for being vague. Let's just say he'll end up playing a rather big part later on,  so I'll try to keep spoilers to minimum!) and a bit of... What do you call a situation where a person may be liked by 4 people? (Haha, what'd you expect? What's an otome game without 4 or more likely love interests? And hey, it could've been worse! Starry Sky has 4 installments and 12 potential love interests in total! No joke, look it up on Wikipedia!) Well, I believe that about sums it up. And since they tried to adapt all 4 plots into 12 episodes, there will be a bit of an alternate universe conundrum in there as well!  Well, I believe that's it in a nutshell!

Right, now to tell you why I took my time watching this. The whole thing was just too boring for me! Sure, I guess the animators did a fairly amazing job, I really liked the art style and the music, but I came for an interesting plot too! And what I was treated to was 10 episodes of boredom and 2 episodes that were slightly more interesting. (I sincerely apologize to anyone who liked this. I'm trying to be honest for once, though.) So, what is my honest verdict? I do not recommend this. To be honest, I seen a better done otome game adaptations before. La Storia Della Arcana Famiglia was my favorite. I also saw Hiiro no Kakera and Uta no Prince-sama (ugh... An experience I don't ever want to repeat! But I won't lie, it was a little better than this. And that's saying something!)

What, you didn't expect me to do a little sketch of the heroine? Well, I decided to! And wow, this was probably the hardest sketch I ever did! The character designers sure paid attention to the details! And even now, I still have a feeling I screwed up somewhere! I'm sorry if I did!

Wow, this sure was long! Either way, I really do not recommend Amnesia! Please trust me on this one!

A great net radio station I really recommend!

Right now, even as I'm writing this, I'm listening to Idobi radio through an app on the iPad I typically use to post here. I believe you can find it in the Shoutcast radio directory. And it has it's own site, idobi.com. You can listen to it using DS audio, Shoutcast.com and their app. It's officially my favorite radio station since it plays great alternative pop punk music instead of the typical pop crap that seems to be played on a lot of stations. I discovered some great obscure artists just from listening to it today. Like, say, New Politics. Most importantly, they play one of my favorite artists, (no, not Rise Against, but that'd have been awesome, too.) Yellowcard! So, yep, I recommend Idobi!

Sketchie
PS: as I'm writing this, they're playing "Passing through a Screen Door" by The Wonder Years!

200+ views?! Thank you, thank you so much!

That was my reaction at what I saw on my stats page. More than 200 views?! This blog wasn't even around for 3 months! And it looks like many people Europe and US are reading this! Either way, no matter where you're from, whether you're American or European or Antarctican, whether you're a Windows, iOS or Linux user, whether you favor Opera or Internet Explorer or Safari, I thank you all for your support! I couldn't have done this without you! Thank you for putting up with all my gamer and otaku tendencies and still reading this blog! It means a lot to me!

Thank you, everybody! You really make my day! (Cries tears of joy)

Guys, check out the newsfeed at the bottom of the page! Final Fantasy 8 HD remake is confirmed by SQUARE ENIX THEMSELVES!

Well, what are you waiting for? Please check it out right now! I'm so excited for this! I can't wait for this! Now, dear Square Enix, when the heck are you gonna release Final Fantasy Versus 13 or at least announce the release date? Or the very least, localize Final Fantasy Type-0?!

What do you think? Please comment on this post or on the site that published the news! Also, feel free to comment what games do you really want Square Enix to release in your country on here! But only Square Enix games. Believe me, I'm just as ticked off about Tales of Xillia still not being localized outside of Japan as you probably are, dear Tales fans!

DC in other programs challenge! Picture 1

DC in other programs challenge!

Basically, for several next posts, whenever I feel like it, I'll post sketches drawn in a somewhat generic Disney Create art style. Using only Sketchbook Xpress. The market brush is perfect for imitating the market brush found in most painters on there, although the Xpress marker does behave slightly differently from DC painters. And for some reason it kinda looks like Slinki47's early art style. (She's on DeviantArt as Capukat right now, btw. She's amazing, feel free to check her art out!) Slinki47, if you think I'm copying, let me know and I'll take this down. And no, Capukat imitators, this does not give you permission to pretend you're Capukat and post mean comments telling me to take this down! (You never know what kind of creeps and copycats are out there, so I just wanted to make sure they know I don't like being bullied by copycats.  Heck, I don't like being bullied by anyone.)

I believe that's all. Fellow DC artists, feel free to join me in this challenge using whatever drawing software you've got! The more, the merrier!
Sketchie. Or to you, fellow DC artists, QPFan1059!

PS: You may also call this Mockingart challenge! (It's both a Hunger Games reference, of sorts and a play on words, Mockingbird and Art! If you know what mockingbirds do, you'll understand what this play on words means!)

PSS: This is basically an impulsive tribute to old DC from several years ago. Back when it was actually controlled by users, back when many wonderful and original artists were there, back when it was better! I don't hate Disney Create itself or the users, I hate the stupid management that made it go to sh*t! No, I do not mean to offend current artists on there, I mean to offend the corporate bigwigs behind it's current problems. It's great that there're many users of all ages on there, but I want there to be easier communication between them! And I want less dumb rules and regulations! So, who agrees with me?

Any Arel Wars 2 players?

Are you an Arel Wars 2 player? If so, I'd like to have a PVP battle against you! Just choose Selection Battle in PVP. And type in Sketchie! You can also give me a friend request! It may take a while for me to reply, though!

Just make sure you tell me exactly when you want to have a battle so that I'm online at that time, please. I think that about covers it.

Feel free to send a nice message through Post Office to me! I'll try to reply!

My thoughts on Square Enix's Symphonica for iPad

Today, I was browsing App Store because I was out of games to play. And I found this little supposedly free gem. Why did I say supposedly free? Well, because only the tutorial and first 3 episodes are free. The rest of the episodes individually costs $3. There's a $15 all episode unlock option as well. Other then this major problem, the game's really great and original. Just make sure you've got free 320 MB on your iPadfirst, though.

This is a typical level screen. Basically, if I were to explain the gameplay, I guess I can call it a rhythm game... With classical music by legendary composers like Tchaikovsky! Yes, I'm dead serious. Basically, you have symbols that prompt you to perform certain actions once they hit the line. So far a somewhat normal rhythm game, right? Well, the key difference is that you can perform the action anywhere on the screen. Honestly, it's kinda hard to explain, so I'll quit trying to explain the gameplay.

The story is told in a visual novel format. (And please excuse the quality of the picture) Whether that's good or bad is up to you to decide, but to be honest... Oh, whatever. Let's just get to explaining the plot, shall we? Basically, this is about a conductor named Takt (he's on the left.) trying to get the band he recently joined as a conductor to be allowed to play at the King Hall. So, in other words, he's trying to do the impossible since nobody's ever managed to do that. I won't tell you anything else since I don't want to accidentally give anything away! You gotta play the game yourself, okay? (Plus, I haven't finished it yet.)

Why, why must I struggle with format so much?!
Either way, I reccomend this game to you, as long as you have $15 (and are allowed to spend them)  and 320 MB(on your iPad) available.

Important advice on keeping your phone safe! Please read!

Link to the article on PC World.com about mobile security!

The link above leads to an article that contains info on keeping your phone secure on PC World.com. It's mostly fairly basic stuff, but if you know about the not-clicking-on-suspicious-links rule, trust me, the link's safe. Otherwise, I'm pretty sure the iPad I'm using would've crashed long ago. But if you're still suspicious, keep reading to see some of the advice the article gives.

1) Don't click on any suspicious links! And if you get an email that asks you to click on a link, don't. Just delete it ASAP, especially if you weren't expecting it or if it's from a person you don't know. Don't click any suspicious links on sites or visit fishy sites either.
2) Get apps from official app stores ONLY! There're third-party app stores out there, but how can you be sure they're safe? So, please stay away from those. And don't download suspicious apps from official app stores either. There're measures to prevent malware from getting onto them, but bear in mind they're not always foolproof!
3) Find a security app and make use of the security measures already on the device. Because let's face it, extra security is better than none. Need I explain more?
4) iOS users, be extra careful! Since App Store has fewer security apps than Google Play, iOS is more vulnerable to phishing attacks! Android users, don't let your guard down either. It's better to be safe than sorry, so please be careful. And other operating systems' users, that means you, too!

If you know any other important tips on keeping your phone or other device secure, don't hesitate to comment here so that other people can see it! Thanks for reading!

RIP, my dear old GBA SP

Remember how I wrote about fixing up my old Gameboy Advance SP yesterday? Well, yeah, about that... The A button was fixed, but it seems something else is broken. So, yep, the graphics won't show up properly. And neither Dad nor I have any idea what's wrong. Mom says it's probably because the whole thing's practically an antique. She may be right. But I'll keep the broken ol' thing anyways since it reminds me of a lot of good times I had. (Yeah, I know it sounds corny, but deal with it. It's true.) If you want to hear about some of the things that this old thing got me through before it broke, feel free to read on.

1) trying to talk to new people. You see, just about everybody in one of the schools I attended had either a GBA SP or a PSP. So, I was always able to sit down next to a person and watch them play and ask them about the game. Also, I occasionally traded games with people. Like, I gave my classmate Cats and Dogs for several days and they gave me a say, Scooby Doo game. (True story. I'll tell you later about how that game kept me entertained when I was hospitalized.) I managed to talk to quite a few people that way.
2) a hospital stay. I don't think I'd have ever been able to talk to other patients my age if it weren't for talking about games. I recall trading the aforementioned Cats and Dogs game for a glitchy game about hamsters. But it was still quite fun playing it.
3) any time I had to sit out PE due to a sickness or forgotten gym uniform. No need to explain that one.
4) any time I was bored.

That's all I can recall, I guess. It was a really long time ago.

Friday, May 17, 2013

Well.. Here's an anime premise you don't see often! ("Henneko," I think.)

Since I was bored, (and still am) I randomly browsed Crunchyroll. And I found a rather unusual series that's currently airing. Basically, and I'll quote from the description I found, it's about how "a boy [who] loses the face he wears in public" and gets a rather nasty, but somewhat true nickname after that. However, he's not the only protagonist. There's also the girl who becomes pretty much emotionless. Basically, the reason they ended up in this predicament is that they wished to express themselves and stop always saying what's on their mind, respectively in front of a wish-granting statue. That's pretty much it, in a nutshell.

I don't think I'll be watching this since considering stuff the poor boy will say in public... You see where this is going. Yep, not exactly appropriate for anybody under 18 to watch. Or if you ask me, for anybody else, for that matter. But I still thought the premise was original, so kudos to the creators. Also, it's kinda interesting to put yourself in the protagonists' shoes, in my opinion. Feel free to think about what would you do if you either ended up blurting out everything that's on your mind or became emotionless as well! Also, keep reading if you want to see what pros and cons I came up with for each predicament. (Make that only cons.)

Blurting out everything that's on your mind:
Pros:
1) Will at least talk to a certain somebody I like... If in a slightly awkward situation.
2) Will have a good excuse for nerding out about whether SSDs are better than hard drives, or anything like that. (Like I just did here. Whoops.)

Cons:
1) It'll get me into many, many awkward situations. And ruin my reputation in progress.
2) Will make it easy to copy off me in class since I'll be blurting out the answers.
3) I'll end up spilling some thoughts I do not want to become public.

Being emotionless (won't affect me much, since I'm always pokerfaced.)
Cons:
1) Won't be able to enjoy my favorite things as much
2) Won't be able to feel happy.

So, what'd you pick? I guess being emotionless is easier since it won't mess up my reputation too much.

Getting an old Gameboy Advance SP fixed up and need your advice ASAP! Please reply!

Hey, y'all! This entry is gonna be a bit different from my entries so far! This time, I need a little help from you! Basically, I just realized I still have the old broken Gameboy Advance SP that might as well be an antique and I wanna fix it! I think I know where it is, but after I find it what do I do? And that's where you come in! I have some questions and if you can, please give me the answers to them ASAP!

1) Can you get a charger that'll work with US outlets and will it work with a European GBA SP?
2) Are GBA games region locked?
3) Can I buy GBA games somewhere online? (Ebay or whatever.) Please tell me about the site you're suggesting first, though!
4) Any games you can suggest?
5) Is there any way to play GBA games on a DSi XL? (It's a dumb question, but I'll ask anyways.)
6) Anything else I need to know?

Hopefully an owner of an antique game console by the end of the day,

I saw Iron Man 3!

I just saw Iron Man 3, and all I can say is... wow.... Just... wow... Aside from some slightly innapropriate stuff, I don't have any complaints. The movie was just awesome like that. Seems Marvel hadn't lost their touch after all. Their movies are as epic as ever. Who knows, maybe if they keep making awesome movies like Iron Man, they might just have my respect back, after all. (I originally liked Marvel a lot, but they lost my respect after I saw some of their newer stuff. Plus, I didn't like that they were bought by Disney.) My favorite things about the movie were the amazing special effects and the action scenes. And I loved the tech shown in the movie. It'd be amazing if we had holographic touch screens, you know? (Too bad we wouldn't see them in our lifetime, probably.) My only complaint? There were some scenes and lines that were slightly innapropriate, in my opinion.

New art style!

A test picture with Essie telling off Blanche about something... Took a while since it was a new art style, which meant a whole lotta mistakes and erasing! But, anyways, lemme know what you think! This art style was mostly influenced by Korean webcomics, I guess.

No way...

What? You have to be at least 16 to apply to be a beta tester in FF XIV: Realm Reborn?! Why?! This is so unfair!

Say what?! WTF, Square Enix?!

I checked the newsreel at the bottom of my blog's main page right now, and it looks like the DLC that was available in the original version of Final Fantasy 10 won't be available in the PS Vita remake! What are they thinking, not making the prologue (of sorts) available?! Not cool, Square Enix! Please make "Last Mission" available like it was for PS2, or better yet, just include it with the game!

Getting this out of my system sure felt nice. At least Kingdom Hearts: HD Remix 1.5's development seems to be going without a cinch!

Thanks for the 100+ views! Also, I'll need your help!

Hey, everybody! Can you guess why behind the iPad screen, I'm crying tears of joy right now? (No, Rise Against didn't release a new album, although I guess that'd have been cry-worthy, too!) And if I reach this goal, I'll thank you all with a very special picture! And guess what, the first 10 followers'll get a special request!

Ready, set, follow! Thanks for reading this! You guys are the best!

Adventures in Dad's workplace

Alright, so, today, Dad brought me to his workplace. Right now, I'm writing from it, by the way.Either way, this time, I actually didn't get lost! Also, I gotta say, the hot chocolate here is amazing. I had 2 cups of it already! Although, how I got it is another story...

You see, today, there was a meeting. And the office was pretty much empty. Fabulous! (That was a little quote from Code Geass. I watched it when the office was empty, by the way. A great show, definetly worth watching!) Somewhare  midway through episode 2, I decided that some hot chocolate is definetly perfect for drinking while watching CG. So, I went to get some. Too bad the meeting was in progress, so I ended up having to sneak around. And so, I quietly tiptoed through the hall into the very inconveniently placed kitchen. (It was right across from the meeting room.) Then, I quietly got myself the drink and snuck out so quietly it'd probably make Sly Cooper proud. Then, I finally sat down and pressed play again.

I got the other cup after the meeting was over. Apparently, it was snacktime for Dad's coworkers since the kitchen was full of people getting a drink, some salad and maybe macaroni. (Salad and macaroni were great, btw.) So, obviously, everyone's reaction when I walked in and reached for another cup was like, "WTF?!" I guess I caused quite a scene. Whoops.

I know I don't need to sign but whatever!

My 1st Photoshop picture!

Wow, it's terrible... But hey, it's a start!

Time to fangirl over Nurahihyon no Mago

Just finished rereading the 100 Tales Arc (I think that's what it's called?) of my old favorite, Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan. (Or if you like using Japanese titles, Nurahihyon no Mago. I don't have a particular favorite, though.) For those who don't know about it, it's basically about a boy inheriting the position of the head of his grandfather's yokai clan. The only problem? He just wants to live a normal, quiet life. And since it's that sort of manga, he ends up protecting people from certain yokai troublemakers. I don't want to give anything away, so I'll stop here. Plus, I'm terrible at explaining things and kinda lazy.

Right, now to the fangirling part. This was probably my favorite arc in the whole series! And if you ask me, it's even more epic the second time around! (Or I just haven't read it in so long that I felt as if I was reading a new chapter when I wasn't.) Um, right. I honestly don't know what else to write. So much for fangirling over one of my favorite series.

Well, that was disappointing. But whatever. I really recommend the series to any fans of series with tons of Japanese mythology references (can't be helped.) and action. I think that's all.

Heroes of XD doddleshots!

Please click on the image to enlarge it and see my doodles!

Not as funny as the last two, I realize, but they were taken from our iPad. Apparently, the games made with HTML5 programming language can be played on iOS devices! So, I couldn't resist playing and then adding my commentary on top of the screenshots!

Oh, look! More game screenshots with my doodles!

Honestly, I just couldn't resist commenting on today's Where's My Perry session as well! As if that doodled over shooter screenshot wasn't enough! But, whatever! Please enjoy my doodle commentary!

Yep, more screenshots with my doodles over them. This time, I used the secret home+lock screen capture technique for iOS users and then doodled over them using good ol' Sketchbook Xpress! The result is what you see here! Honestly, I just had to do this with Where's My Perry! So, here're some screenshots from today's gaming session, with additional commentary from me!

Well... This is embarrassing....

Behold my terrible mouse doodles!
Speech bubbles say: (First 5 tries) I lost again?!
(After 10 tries) This is embarrassing! And I'm a lv.30 Gunner too...

Played this game for the umpteenth time. And I'm still not past level 1. It's official. I suck at shooters. Still, feel free to decide for yourself which is weirder. Either that I play the Gunner class in action RPGs (and my character's actually like, level 30, or so) but can't get past level one in a shooter or that Disney actually made a shooter

Yep, I fail as a Gunner class player... See ya later!

Guess who's back as well!

Yep, Essie's best friend, Blanche, has come to join her! I'll draw a picture of them together later!

My last words according to en.shindanmaker.com

Wait... Say what? When I tried the test of sorts on Shindan Maker, "Your Famous Last Words" I got... "Whoops, wrong button?" Just what kind of button was that?!

How tests on en.shindanmaker.com work:
1) Write your name
2) Click Diagnose button
3) Don't freak out over the answer like I just did. It's a joke.

Thanks for reading! See ya!

WIP... (A new drawing)

No mistake. This drawing is titled WIP even though it's finished. But hey, it's a picture of an artist working on a mural, so why can't I call it Work In Progress? The whole thing was done on Sketchbook Xpress for iPad, btw. And no, the crimson part on the sleeve isn't blood, it's crimson colored paint. Blame me for messing up with the color.

Meet Celane, Tetsuya's owner!

In case you can't read my handwriting, Tetsuya is saying "Hey, be nice to Miss!"

Yep, that's Celane with Tetsuya, her adorable little protector. I came up with Celane when I was bored in class. Since we were learning about China's trade at the time, I ended up with Porcelain. But then I decided I liked "Celane" better. And that's how I got the idea for her name.

From my original idea:
"An 11-year-old girl who's actually from modern Britain but for some reason likes Victorian period to the point where, as you can see, she's always wearing a Victorian-looking dress. Along with her best friend, she's training to be a detective. She's actually in the same grade as the rest of the gang since she got to skip a grade. Before that, she was homeschooled and was actually learning stuff that's seventh grade level. However, then, her family found the school where the rest of my characters are enrolled. Since it was quite close to both their mansion and doctor's office, they decided to finally let her try going to a public school. Before that, as I mentioned, she was homeschooled due to her poor health and the nearest school being 15miles from her family's place. Her parents are owners of a large chain of stores and so she's actually a heiress to the business. However, she wants to be a police detective and so she's learning from both retired and current police detectives. Her parents tried to discourage her but gave up since she was too stubborn."

An adorable thing I made up because I was bored!

Looks like there's a new addition to the gang! Right, so, leeme introduce you to a pet of Celane's (will be introduced later.) His name's Tetsuya (I named him in honor of the current director of Final Fantasy games.) If enough people request it, I'll post the colored version of this sketch! Now, off I go to draw his owner!

PS: I had an idea for him while thinking of making up an adorable familiar for one of my characters. And by that, I mean not like a ninetailed fox given human form or something, but just a plain little adorable little thing. Why? Because I think there're too many familiars that are something otherworldly given human form in manga nowadays. (Trust me on that one. I can name at least three off the top of my head alone. I'll leave it to you to guess whether I meant the girls' demographic or not.) So, I decided to throw whatever rulebook they have for manga design out the window while designing him. But that doesn't mean I will stay away from poking fun at that concept! But that will be much later...

Wow, that was a long PS! Well, see ya!

Holy...! (Devil Survivor 2: The Animation episode 4 spoilers)

I just finished watching episode 4 of Devil Survivor 2: The Animation and it's ending was just as shocking as the ending of the previous episode. Right, so remember how I mentioned how a certain person died in Episode 3? Well, it seems his friend has gone to the same place... I felt like crying when I saw that scene. And considering the kind of show this is, I don't think either are coming back... Also, the villain behind what caused their death showed up to wreak more chaos and maybe try to get our protagonist to stop opposing him. And apparently, the organization the heroes work for does have it's share of haters. At least, the episode ended with some guy showing up and introducing himself as "someone who hates JPs." (JPs is the name of the organization)

Well, thank you for reading the spoilers. I hope you saw the episode before you read this, though. If not, feel free to head over to crunchyroll.com. Well, see ya!

A WIP done on Paint

Not finished yet. But I have the lineart down! I honestly don't know why people keep bashing MS Paint. It's brushes are actually quite nice. I like the Pen one.

Guess what?

It seems there apparently is an entry in the F-Word Book (aka my diary) that doesn't contain the F-word or any other cussing, for that matter! Since it doesn't contain anything too private, I'll publish it.

"Just to get a certain annoying classmate of mine to stop singing those annoying songs they play on the radio, I asked him to sing my favorite song. (Rise Against's "Paper Wings.") Now let's just hope he doesn't make good on his promise to sing it tomorrow..."
Luckily for my ears, he didn't. He keeps annoying everyone with his singing to this day, though.

You're welcome, no need to thank me! See ya!:)

Oh, look! A weird sketch!

Figured might as well live up to my blog's name. So, here's a redraw of something I sketched in my real-life sketchbook. Done in Sketchbook Xpress, btw. And yeah, I do know it's weird to draw a wintery picture in the end of the spring. But wherever my inspiration comes from doesn't seem to care about seasons, I guess.

Thanks for looking! See ya!
